Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), in collaboration with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Samsung Malaysia, and Pinkast Corporation Sdn. Bhd., has successfully conducted a high-impact professional development programme aimed at enhancing the digital teaching skills of educators at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM).

Over three days, from 3–5 February, more than 30 Science educators—including teachers of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology—from MRSM institutions nationwide participated in an intensive workshop designed to combine modern pedagogical strategies with cutting-edge technology. The programme aimed to equip teachers with the tools and confidence to deliver more engaging, interactive, and technology-driven STEM lessons.

MRSM educators often face the challenge of making STEM subjects captivating and relevant in an increasingly digital world. While traditional teaching methods remain essential, integrating interactive technology has become crucial to inspire curiosity and critical thinking among students. UPSI’s programme addressed this by combining expert-led pedagogy training with advanced devices and solutions provided by Samsung through Pinkast Corporation Sdn. Bhd.

Participants experienced a comprehensive mix of workshops and practical sessions, including:

• Interactive classroom solutions using Samsung smartboards and Pinkast-supplied devices.

• Digital pedagogy techniques focused on student-centered STEM teaching.

• Data-driven strategies for improving student engagement and learning outcomes.

• Collaborative problem-solving exercises reflecting real classroom scenarios.

Through this hands-on approach, teachers were empowered to immediately implement technology-enhanced lessons, ensuring students benefit from interactive and modern learning environments.
